Upper molar ceramic onlay
A fractured amalgam filling restored with a ceramic onlay — preserving more natural tooth structure than a crown while providing a stronger, more aesthetic long-term result. Swipe through to see the full journey from diagnosis to delivery.
Composite bonding + partial chrome dentures
Severe toothwear and missing teeth restored in two stages — composite bonding to rebuild worn tooth structure, followed by upper and lower partial chrome dentures to replace missing teeth.
Orthodontics
Straighter teeth, better bites
Crowding, spacing and bite issues corrected with clear aligners or other orthodontic options — always assessed individually before treatment begins.
Invisalign + whitening + 4 composite veneers
Combining alignment, whitening and composite veneers for a complete result.
Invisalign straightens first, then whitening and composite veneers refine the shape and shade — giving you a result that no single treatment alone could achieve.

Dr Pattar and the team at Newton Abbot Dental are fantastic. I would definitely recommend this practice. Always fully informed of any treatments or adjustments needed to my oral care. Really supportive and understanding.

I needed an emergency appointment due to tooth pain and contacted Newton Abbot Dental. Although I was not registered with them, they had an appointment that same day. Dr Pattar and Jasmine explained everything during my treatment with the utmost courtesy and care. Their recommendation for ongoing treatment was explained in a thorough breakdown including costs. I felt no pressure whatsoever. Thoroughly recommended.

I felt very at ease and welcomed from the word go. Gurjit was very gentle and took the time to explain everything he was doing and why. The ladies on reception were very welcoming and very knowledgeable: we will be back!
Helen Sivyer · Google Review
I was a very nervous patient but Gurjit has been very kind and gentle and always makes me feel comfortable and at ease. All the staff are very kind and I would not hesitate to recommend the practice to anyone searching for a dentist.

My son had a sore molar so we visited. It turned out his baby molar needed extracting, and they did it so comfortably and gently that he said it didn't hurt at all. He had been suffering from toothache caused by decay, but now he is completely fine. Everyone was so kind, and Mr. Pattar is a truly skilled doctor. We are very satisfied.

I have been a dental phobic for a long time. I had my first treatment — two extractions — and I didn't feel a single thing. Not even the injections hurt. I remember them as the worst part, but they just don't register any more. I felt quite emotional as I left, having had a lifelong fear addressed in just one visit. Everyone at Newton Abbot Dental, and Gurj in particular, have been amazing. Kind, gentle, and supportive. Thank you Gurj, and thank you Newton Abbot Dental!

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What is included in the £110 new patient oral health assessment?
Your new patient appointment is a comprehensive oral health assessment, not just a quick check. It includes an oral cancer screen, BPE (gum health check), full dental examination, clinical x-rays, intraoral photos, and a full treatment plan presentation. You'll leave with a clear picture of your oral health and a detailed breakdown of any recommended treatment options — with no pressure to proceed.
How much does treatment cost?
Costs vary depending on the treatment required. Composite bonding starts from a few hundred pounds per tooth; Invisalign typically ranges from £3,500–£5,500; smile makeovers and complex restorative cases are costed individually. Everything is explained clearly before you commit.
How long do composite restorations last?
With regular dental check-ups and hygiene visits, composite bonding typically lasts 3–7 years. Longevity depends on diet, habits and oral hygiene. Treatment costs can be found on the practice website. Dr Pattar will advise on care and maintenance specific to your case at your appointment.
Is finance available for all treatments?
Yes — payment plans from 6 to 48 months are available for most treatments. Monthly amounts and interest rates are confirmed at consultation.
Do you offer Invisalign?
Yes. Dr Pattar is an Invisalign-trained provider. Visit the dedicated Invisalign page for full details, case results and to book.
